Dermay Derma Mask Reviews

If you’re wondering what we’re on about, an LED light mask is a device illuminated by LED lights designed for you to wear on the face. Dermatologists and estheticians typically use these masks; however, companies have begun selling these devices for at-home use. Each device uses a different spectrum of light wavelengths to penetrate the skin and cause molecular changes. Although these devices are entirely safe to use, experts recommend that you start using one only after conducting extensive research and consulting your dermatologist.

LED Light Therapy Explained | Know before You Opt

LEDs have been around for over 50 years, with the first visible LED light appearing in 1962. Quantum Devices created a light-emitting diode (LED) for NASA to use in plant growth experiments in 1993. The experiments showed that red LED wavelengths could boost plant growth, but the scientist’s skin lesions also began to heal faster. They used the technology to treat injured astronauts on long-duration space missions. Today, LED light therapy is helpful to treat a wide range of skin, including acne, wrinkles, aging skin, and more.

Derma Mask employs Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT), an LED-based rejuvenation process. Specific and proven light wavelengths penetrate the skin at different levels during an LED light treatment and cause various chemical reactions at the cellular level. As a result, Derma Mask can treat a variety of skin types. It balances skin hydration and collagen levels, which can aid in treating acne and wrinkles. It allows you to treat sensitive skin as well. The LED light energy aids in tissue repair while giving the skin a supple appearance.

Derma Mask combines seven different LED light treatments into one compact device to help you achieve the skin of your dreams. Let’s look at each treatment and see what it offers.

Red (Anti-Aging)

Collagen is a protective protein abundant in our skin, tissues, bones, and cartilage. It helps to improve skin elasticity, structure, and blood flow, resulting in younger-looking skin. However, our body’s collagen levels decline as we age, resulting in skin issues such as sagging, dullness, wrinkles, etc.

Red light therapy effectively stimulates collagen production, which leads to tender skin and the removal of crinkles, repairing damaged skin, healing fine wrinkles, and tightening pores. Red light therapy also helps reduce inflammation, scars, and acne.

Yellow (Redness-Reducing)

Yellow light therapy is best known for rejuvenating the skin and reducing redness and inflammation. It is helpful for the stimulation of red blood cells, which promotes skin healing and rejuvenation. It is also known to have soothing properties that aid in the reduction of dark spots, swelling, and inflammation.

Yellow (or amber) LED light therapy has a shallow penetration level and can effectively treat various skin conditions involving redness. When yellow light penetrates the skin, fundamental mechanisms alter biological pathways and improve skin appearance. Yellow wavelength can effectively increase dermal blood flow and leave your skin looking healthy and radiant.

Green (Balancing)

The green light has a calming effect on the skin when absorbed. It aids in the lightening of hyperpigmentation spots, resulting in a brighter complexion. The calming effect also has anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe the skin’s surface. Dilated capillaries, sagging skin around the eyes, under-eye circles, hyperpigmentation, and sunspots are all treated with green LED therapy.

It normalizes sebaceous glands, which helps reduce blackhead formation, and it moderates oil production, which helps to normalize and firm the skin. Green LED light therapy promotes wound healing and balances oil and moisture production. This treatment is highly effective for sebaceous cysts.

Blue (Anti-Acne)

Blue light therapy is a popular treatment for treating and preventing acne in people of all ages. Its short wavelengths kill bacteria in and around the sebaceous glands while also causing the glands to produce less oil overall. Acid bacillus primarily causes acne; blue light can kill these bacteria while causing no damage to skin tissue.

Blue light can considerably reduce acne and prevent future acne by stopping bacteria at the source. It also prevents scarring and has anti-inflammatory properties. As a result, the skin appears healthier overall.

Cyan (Anti-Inflammatory)

Cyan light therapy has a mild stimulating effect that can help reduce inflammation and balance the texture of your skin. It can also help if you have mild acne and scarring. Blood flow and our overall circulatory health significantly impact skin health.

Our circulatory system naturally becomes less efficient as we age, and the capillaries that feed our skin surface become sluggish. Cyan light soothes the skin by reducing swollen veins and inflammation. It can gradually increase cell energy and has a beneficial effect on metabolism.

Purple (Rejuvenating)

Purple LED combines red and blue wavelengths that provide both skin clearing (blue) and anti-aging (red) benefits without the risk of irritation from potent topical ingredients. As a result, it is recommended highly for people who suffer from acne and redness.

Purple is also suitable for cellular oxygenation and regeneration, promoting skin fitness and vitality. This color can also help fade dark spots and even your complexion by increasing cell regeneration.

White (Enhancing)

Contrary to its name, white light consists of all the visible spectrum wavelengths: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. Because this LED light has the longest wavelength, it can penetrate the skin the deepest. This way, you can ensure that your skin looks radiant on the outside and remains healthy far deep into the skin’s layers.

It also aids in wound healing and nutrient absorption. Because white LED light penetrates the skin deeply, it accelerates tissue metabolism, decomposes color spots, and improves the appearance of fine lines and aging skin.

Stella remarked, “I’ve never been one for beauty devices, but when I saw Derma mask, I couldn’t resist the urge to give it a try. Although I was initially hesitant to purchase it due to its high price, multiple excellent reviews persuaded me to do so. Wrinkles and discoloration are two of my main skin issues. I’ve been using this mask for two months and have noticed substantial improvements in my skin. My skin is firmer and tighter than before, and the pigmentation has begun to fade. Furthermore, my skin is always glowing and fresh. This mask has left a lasting impression on me, and I strongly advise everyone to try it at least once.”

Caroline noted, “For years, I’ve been dealing with acne. After reading about the benefits of Blue LED light therapy, I decided to try it for acne prevention. Two professional treatments helped me greatly, but I quickly discovered that they were becoming out of my budget. After saving money, I chose to get Derma Mask, which provides a variety of treatments in addition to Blue LED therapy. I’ve been using it for three months and have seen a significant improvement. My acne has not only lessened in severity but also in the speed with which it recurs. Acne scars, blemishes, and pigmentation have begun to disappear as well. This mask is fantastic, and I will continue to use it regularly.”

  1. I bought a Dermay Mask in Nov. 2021 that came with a one year warranty card. The charging port on my controller broke this week so the mask can no longer be charged. I tried calling the customer service phone number for Dermay and they never answer. I emailed and the response was ‘the controller is not covered under the warranty’. What a scam! They told me to buy a replacement controller for $19.99. Buyers beware – this company does not honor their stated warranty. Sadly, the mask does not work without the controller, so of course it should be included in the warranty. They also state that the rechargeable lithium battery in the controller ‘should last several years’.
